This service is available to the residents of:
We passionately believe that no one should have to face a mental health or wellbeing challenge on their own.
Who can get support?
The service is for people aged 18 or over, and residents of Wokingham Borough Council area or registered at a Wokingham GP surgery.
How it works
Our Wellbeing Workers offer free one-to-one sessions, which will help you to put practical things in place that can help you manage everyday stress and wellbeing difficulties.
They can:
- Give you time, space and support to speak about your concerns and help you identify what’s important to you
- Tell you about services, resources and tools you can use to improve your wellbeing
- Support you to come up with some goals and encourage you to work towards them
New: Walk and Talk sessions
Following feedback from people using our service, we now offer Walk and Talk sessions as an additional support option where appropriate.
Walk and Talk combines one-to-one wellbeing support with the benefits of gentle movement and being outdoors. Many people find that walking side-by-side feels more natural than sitting in a room, making conversations easier.
Spending time outdoors can improve mood, reduce stress, encourage gentle activity and support overall wellbeing.
How Walk and Talk sessions work
- Your first appointment will always be an initial assessment
- From your third session onwards, you may be offered up to two Walk and Talk sessions if appropriate
- Taking part is entirely optional
- Routes are planned with privacy, accessibility and safety in mind
- Sessions can continue face-to-face, by telephone or video if preferred
Walk and Talk offers greater choice and flexibility, allowing you to access support in a way that feels right for you.
